Everybody knows how to take photo. Who does not know? Just press the shutter and then we can see the result. But how about a good photo? It is easy but also hard to do at the same time. And now I want to share some tips to get a good photo based on my experience as an amateur photographer.
The first time you must do is having imagination about what object you want to take. Before you go to the location, you should have an imagination about your photo. You can not go without imagination, or else your mind will be blank and you will be confused what you want to take.
The second is time. You have to make sure you do not go at noon. The sun’s light is so strong and your photo will be bad. We usually call the light is over. You can go at golden time, around 5 or six until 7 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon. It is called golden time because the sun’s light is not strong and it is a good chance to take photo. If you go after that hour, you will get strong light of the sun and it will make the lighting get over. It will be bad because it will make your photo be flat. The result will not be good. So, avoid over lighting! That’s my suggestion.
The third is focusing your lense. After getting to the location, you have to focus your lense directly. If you use SLR camera, you have to be patient enough to get a good focus because it is still manual setting. If you use DSLR or semi DSLR, you can use auto-focus to make it easier. If you use digital pocket camera, you have to half-press the shutter to focus the lense. Focusing your lense is important, because it will also determine the result of your photo. If your focus is not good enough, your result will be unclear or blurred. It is not good.
The fourth is angle, composition, and technique. You have to decide what angle you want to take, what composition and technique you want to use. There are many angles, compositions, and techniques you can use. Just choose one of them that you want to use.
The fifth is determining diafragma and speed. Beside lense’s focus, these are also important. Diafragma will determine the light that comes to lense. If you use small diafragma, many coming light will come. If you use big diafragma, th coming light will be a little. And how about the speed? The lense’s speed also determines how much sun’s light that you want to get. The smallest speed is bulb, and the biggest is 2000. That is if you use DSLR, SLR, and semi DSLR. If you use digital pocket camera, you can not determine diafragma and speed because it is automatic. My suggestion is going to the location at the golden time!
Getting a good photo is easy but also hard at the same time. Those tips are from my side as an amateur photographer. It is from my experience after joining the photography world. Many professional photographers are out there. So if you know ones, you can ask their suggestion. (^_^)
Have a try! Regard from author ......
